Just a little won’t hurt

Fruit is Stacey’s Friend...blog entry # 21…my journey in becoming 100% LoFat Raw Vegan (LFRV), meaning eating 80% or more of my calorie intake from carbs >10% Fat, >10% protein. Aka 80/10/10 (811)…away from the Standard American diet (SAD diet)

Just a little won’t hurt

Day 12 (21 days to go….count down till I get home to my luvs)

As some of you know I am in Costa Rica, I have been busier than I thought and unable to blog the entire length of my trip (it was def my plan to blog the entire way through) I have been here 12 days, I am interning under Dr. Sam (a speaker at Raw Spirit). He is facilitating a retreat called RAW-habilitation out of a raw farm called Finca de Vida here in Costa Rica.

I am mostly in charge of preparing food for all of the retreat participants. I will be here for 2 retreats, and possibly returning in June to help on the 3rd! We will see tho (I may miss my baby luv, and my baby apple a little too much to leave again)

I am not only on a journey to become 100% raw, 100% of the time, but also to eat hygienically, which means no condiments, little fat, as well as properly food combined meals (research Dr. Shelton’s Proper Food Combining).

As for the title of this blog, I ran into a statement on line “just a little won’t hurt” and it hit me THIS is where I find myself always getting in trouble. I will be at home making a meal and it will start out with the best intentions, and the healthiest choices possible, but THEN I start down the path of , owa and wouldn’t that be good, and wow that would taste nice in there as well. SO, here is a list of my just a little won’t hurt I foods that I need to realize and confront!!!

1. coco nut oil (mostly in smoothies)

2. mixing 2 fats together (ie nuts and avos, not a good mix, or coco and avo)

3. cayenne pepper

4. oil

5. onions

6. mushrooms

7. mixing too many food items in one meal (no more than 2 fruits allowed, and not more than 4 veggies…these should also be 2 separate meals as well)

8. Caco powder

9. over-eating (just one more bit, or sip, BAD)

10. mixing a sweet fruit with a fat ( I tend to like to do this to make dressings)

11. Using agave, honey or any other type of sweetner (when making deserts)

All of these practices are harmful no matter in what dose. They lead the body to crave more more more!!! And because I am trying to clean out my body, this is exactly what I want to avoid. Why go through all the hassle of detoxing to then load up in non-foods, or mis-combined foods to create that toxicity once more.
